Attorney Profile

I am Tucker M. Katz, Attorney at Dietze & Davis, P.C., an experienced family law practitioner and a shareholder with Dietze & Davis, P.C., in Boulder, Colorado.

I have practiced family law since 2006, but my experience goes as far back as my law school days, when I worked at the Boulder County Family Court Facilitator’s Office. In that role, I assisted pro se clients by providing individual case management and coordination of family-related matters, including domestic relations, divorce, domestic violence, dependency and neglect, and delinquency cases.

I was selected as a Colorado Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2013, 2014 and 2015. This designation is given to attorneys under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their legal practice.

I have become a Fellow of the Colorado Bar Foundation. Selection as a Fellow of the Colorado Bar Foundation is recognition of a lawyer as one whose professional, public and private career has demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of the community, the traditions of the profession, and the maintenance and advancement of the objectives of the Colorado Bar Association.

In November 2008, I was named as one of three statewide finalists for the Gary McPherson Outstanding Young Lawyer Award, which is given annually to a member of the Colorado Bar Association who is under 37 years old and who has demonstrated an outstanding record of professional success, community service achievements and a commitment to civil participation.

I received the 2014-2015 John Marshall Award at the Boulder County Legal Services Pro Bono Luncheon on April 6, 2015. The John Marshall Award annually recognizes an attorney for his or her dedication, energy, and enthusiasm in undertaking volunteer legal service for the less fortunate of Boulder County. The award honors the memory of John Robert Marshall, an attorney who served the poor with competence and compassion and an outstanding commitment to pro bono service.

I am a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association, the Boulder Interdisciplinary Committee on Child Custody and the Boulder County Bar Association. I served on the board of directors for the Boulder County Bar Association from 2009 to 2012, and was a co-director of the Raising the Bar Mentor/Mentee Section. I volunteer for Boulder County Legal Services and I’m a former member of the Open Space and Trails Advisory Board for the Town of Erie, Colorado.

I earned a bachelor’s degree in history ( magna cum laude) from the University of Colorado and my Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law.
